Two of our sponsored matches have enjoyed visits to their sponsors' work sites over the last couple of months. Read more below about the Patton Engineering and Hawke’s Bay Airport visits and the fun our mentees (and mentors!) had.
Patton Engineering
Mentor Brendan and mentee Tamati had an informative and fun time hanging out at their match sponsor, Patton Engineering's workplace in October. From learning about how Patton Engineering operates and has expanded in recent years to being able to spray paint foundations for an upcoming hospital, you can see from the smiles on their faces that it was an all-round great experience.
Thank you to Nelson for the tutelage on spray painting and Johno for the tour! And check out the Patton Engineering sign, we especially love their quality motto: Doing it right when no-one is watching.
Hawke’s Bay Airport
Jan (Mentor) and Leo (Mentee) visited the Hawke's Bay Airport, the workplace of their match sponsor. Not only did they get to learn about how the airport operates, but they were also lucky enough to get a ride from the airport's on-site fire emergency team and use their firehose! It was such a great experience and we all had such a great time.
Thank you to Hawke's Bay Airport for giving Jan and Leo the VIP treatment!
